Van Gogh was an artist who is seen to be one of the greatest artists of the world. Before this though, Van Gogh he was a preacher and this affected his art, to a degree. In his art career,he got severely sick.Under advise from others went to live quietly, here he committed suicide.
This sickness affected Van Gogh's life not only in changing careers, but also in becoming almost unrecognizable by his siblings. The sickness was depression. His brother said "It seems as if he were two persons: one, marvelously gifted, tender and refined, the other, egotistic and hard hearted." This led to seizures, sickness, and murderous acts. In fact, he felt so burdensome to others that it led to suicide.
I feel that anyone's condition could have been helped and the person suffering can get, if not all, then at least partly cured of their 'sticky spot' in life. If someone had tried to lighten Van Gogh up a little, he would have lived longer and been able to put more passion to his paintings and not to his despairs. So, if ever there is someone who may seem real down, do what you can to lighten up and not end up like Van Gogh, a person who gave so much, but could have continued to do so.
